Anne had never been one to plan things. Or if she had, they had a stubborn tendency to backfire spectacularly. No, her nature was that of someone who took things in strides, and moved where-ever the wind took her. Which was currently in a bustling metropolis. One of the largest cities in the West Blue, it had been a hot spot for tourists. Restaurants, shops, and all kinds of wonderful time consuming things line the roads, with families moving with haste from place to place.
She was currently sitting at an outside cafe, enjoying herself a simple glass of water. Anne didn't really have the kind of money to enjoy herself like some of the families on this island did but she could at least afford water...which was all of one beli. She sighed, feeling a twinge of despair over her cob-webbed pockets. Didn't help that this town was expensive to stay in. Ah, well, at least she could still watch people for free.

His hand went against the page, as he looked through the book with a peak expression of interest, even though his face didn't show such. Reading was knowledge, a power bestowed upon him by his mothers warm embrace towards the arts of literature and understanding. He sipped his cup of coffee as he turned the page, the cover of the book was "The Depths of Tomorrow" a book written by a certain author from the North Blue.
It was a charming day, the good graces of his nerves weren't tattered in the least and he showed an understanding in relaxing and allowing his mind to become less involved with such novelties as "ranks" or "pirates". He wanted today to be his official day off, considering they had a day off for what had been the last in about eight weeks. The constant weights shifting in the grand world. This planet was on the move.
He turned the page once more, eyes gazing across the pages with a delicate sense of understanding. "And the words rang true, that this would never be a utopia, in this world you created what you had by being what was most applicable... and so it came to pass the gears shifted to the next life." Once more, hands going against the cup of coffee as he grasped a pile of grapes into his hands and then eating a single one before bringing it back to his side.
Soon, he felt something strange in this place. Someone was "watching" him to be exact. His eyes closing for a moment, taking in his surroundings before taking out a deep exhale, his chest pushing forward then back in motion. As he went towards his last few grapes, he ate them with a quick gulp. And placed his hand upward. "I am ready for the bill." Said with a calm voice, his eyes moving into the direction of the people talking, and enjoying themselves.
As a waitress came towards him, he placed down a small amount of his "weekly wage" from being a marine. And with this weekly wage, he lived his life only enjoying the smallest qualities in life. He pressed the book into his back pocket as it fit snugly. Grasping for his coat and hat, he would begin to move away from the cafe moving into the sunlight as he moved back to the marine ship in light steps.

He looked built, no doubt from hours of training. Keen eyes and strict form...And young. Yes. Anne was almost certain that the man making way into the streets was in fact a marine. And a fresh one at that. Hmm. Probably young enough to have never heard the name "Anne the Scarlet"...or maybe he did? The sides of her lips crooked upwards at the thought, and her eyes sparkled. Oh yes. This was would be fun.
Lifting herself up and leaving a single beli on the table, she made way for the young man. Anne'd need to be quick before she lost him in the crowds - something quite possible in such a populous city. Weaving through the crowds and realizing she'd fail to catch him in time without knocking over a dozen or so people, Anne decided to call out to him.
"Excuse me, Sir Marine! Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?~!"

Crowds of people had covered through the distances of the relevant walk. With the anticipation of wind, the driving force went against his face making him take his hand against his forehead as a shining glare from the sun hit against his face. He pressed his hat deeper onto his head. Afterward, he began to hear the foot steps... perhaps the person that followed him?
He started moving once again, taking the time to leisurely walk forward his hands towards his sides, showing the walking form of someone who always trained through martial arts. His steps were silent, and he showed no twists or turns in his form. He wouldn't allow that person to get away if they were following him, that was for sure. He'd lead them into a place perhaps even a-... Wait, what was happening now.
He took a step backwards and held his ground, two streaking eyes of cold placed towards the woman's own. Showing his disdain for her coming behind him. She had called for him, as if it was "OK" to follow someone or to try to gain a consensus for the aspects of sneakily gaining ground. But none-the-less, she didn't "seem" dangerous. However, the guard of Feilong was always ready for at any moment he could be attacked.
"What do you wish to know from me, and why were you watching and following me from the confines of that cafe?" He came out openly and honestly, his words had the full aspect of a serious individual and took no chances to allow the woman to get her point across. He did not like being followed if you were unknown to him or a foe. And if you were a foe, always prepare to become a victim of his fist. A headstrong youth brandished by this worlds cruel laws. His body was ready if any situations had came.

"Oh! You can already sense such things? My, my, how impressive for someone your age..." Most children wouldn't have even known she'd been watching. Her grand-daughter certainly wouldn't have. Or maybe she'd gotten that rusty? She frowned at the thought. It was a fact of life, and expected given her age. But that didn't mean she had to like it.
"And I wasn't just watching 'you', you know? I was looking at everyone. It's just that you're the only one that caught my eye~." It was entirely the truth. She had been watching every individual that sat down or walked by or was just in the general area. It was a good way to past the time. "Now, would you be a dear and answer a few questions for me?" She asked, giving him her biggest smile. Oh, Anne was sure he had a stick so far up his rear that he couldn't appreciate one but it never hurt to try.

What a strange female, complicated and distracting to the purpose of the walk, the details of the situation were unknown due to these two traits. But he would need to press forward keeping his ground. "..." He stared at her, keeping his distance and making no "humorous" light of the current situation. She seemed to think it was a game to sneak up on someone. "I don't really care about that, sneaking up on me isn't very good for anyone's health..." It was a cryptic threat...
Now it seemed she was on a more light-hearted note despite the intense amount of "uncomfortable" circumstances. He really didn't like being bothered with many people, didn't really know many friends or allies. He was undoubtedly a loner in much the case a lone-wolf would be considered. He didn't need those things, to become stronger and defend the honor of his combative ability and family reputation.
"At any rate, you aren't as you seem, are you..." He could already see it in how she held herself. That footwork, the paths of how she walked and how her body caressed itself in certain situations. It was an easy read that no "true" martial artist could hide. However, he had no proofs that she was dangerous, he stayed cautious. He'd keep his distance from the woman, taking a single step backwards to warn her.
His fists clenched tighter. This was getting even more uncomfortable. It was a strange situation, though he felt no real malice from this person, it did not mean anything. It was always to be considered that the least threatening things could be the things you fight for your life the most over. Always keep a fist ready for such a situation.

"Now, now. Don't get fussy. I wasn't trying to sneak, honest. It's just hard to get through these kinds of crowds in a hurry without stepping on toes." Another truth. With these kinds of crowds, she'd have to force people out of her way to reach him. Especially if the 'tide', as it were, of the crowd had reversed and she found herself on the opposite end. Nothing more annoying then having to waddle through a group of hasty people heading straight for you.
"And please, do relax dear. If I'd wanted a fight I wouldn't have bothered to talk to you~." She said, completely nonplussed with the young mans threat. Really, did the young man think Anne talk to someone she'd have cut down moments later?...Well, maybe. She did make a habit of trying to talk with her little boy during their 'games' out at sea. To which he'd reply with a fist to her face. Or at least try to hit her, as he could never -quite- catch Anne...most of the time. Geez. You'd think he'd be more gentle with his own mother.

"Idon't really care much about that, the facts are simple enough to learn from..." With that expression of how he'd felt about the situation right now. It was a grating measure of confusion and no true merit. He was about to leave if she didn't just get her point across. After all, it was as if she just wanted to do small talk. Something the young lad wasn't great with. To be the strongest warrior and to fight exclusively for the righteousness of others. A lonely path to walk for one so young...
"Whatever. Get to the point, what do you want to know?" His arms were crossed now as he closed his eyes for a moment. It was agitating, the mindless drivel of the woman made him wish that he'd had just walked away. All he wanted more than anything was peace, to do his training. To defend with "Absolute Justice" the people of this world. Just because he was a "hero" didn't mean he liked publicity. Walking the path of the less talked about warrior.
He stared at her now, his arms stayed cross as she seemed to be contemplating what she was going to ask. His foot etched into the ground.

"Right, right," Anne smirked. She was having fun, oh yes. And she hadn't even gotten to the best part yet. While the young man might crossed his arms in some attempt to look more threatening and/or loner-esque, Anne crossed her own arms. Under her chest. Then heaved them up. Now they made a matching pair, two strangers starring (or in the young man's case, glaring) at one another in the middle of a busy street with their arms crossed. Only one of them was trying to look menacing and the other looked almost comical with how her arms were pushing up her generous assets.
No, Anne wasn't taking the situation seriously. Why do you ask?
"I was looking for a relative of mine. She's a sweet and hard working, if ditzy girl. I was hoping since you were a marine you'd have heard of her. I hear she's quite famous amongst you lot. But even if you haven't, could you perchance help me look for her? I even brought pictures with me to make the search easier." She said, pausing briefly. She let out an 'ah', as if suddenly remembering something important. "By the way. Her name's Anne Read." The red head said, smiling brilliantly.
Now lets see how this plays out~.

A small glance towards the woman made him blush a bit as he saw that she was trying to do something on the realms of "excessively weird" but that was more because he wasn't use to it. Her body seemed weird in a sense, and what was with all the skimpy clothing, was there no sense of decency on what could be worn these days? The nerve...
His face was pink as his eyes went towards the sky, she had started to talk about looking for someone. Looking for someone, what did he have to do with such a thing. Either way, he was a marine, and his job was to help anyone in trouble. He did wish it wasn't this young woman with a "weird" body. As that would only cloud his ability to think properly. His cheeks began to stop reddening after he'd heard the name.
"And what is she to you, woman... how do you know if I actually know her, I've only been a marine for a few months..." Pressing his foot into the ground deeper as he sighed deeply patting the top of his foot into the dirt again. "I do know her, however, I don't know her... she may be a comrade but we are only comrades we're not even friends..." He turned his body now leaving his back open to her. "If you need my help finding her, then it's by the creed of marines that I help you, but once we find her, leave me alone."

Oho? Was that a twinge of red she spotted? Anne smirked, obviously knowing just what was the cause of this young mans...discomfort. It'd seem Mr. Marine here wasn't entirely stoic after all~. Even better, this had been the set up to one of her most treasured pieces of entertainment. Oh yes. This would. Be. Good.
Moving an arm away from her chest, Anne placed a hand softly on her cheek. "So you want to know, huh~? Well, that's fine. I see no reason not to tell you~. It's nothing spectacular or anything, rest assured~."
And then with one, big smile. "I'm her grandmother."
(sorry for the derp post. Had a better one typed up yesterday but my broswer ate it. >.< )

His eyes closed once more, as he held his eyes closed, his posture was still tense in this weird situation. As he'd asked her questions she seemed to use them against him. Mind games of some sort, gathering what could be the situation of a far worse possibility. The similar tactics that not only would work on him, but also make him suffer from the situations unobtainable message of "freedom". Because right now he was filling the most uncomfortable in his life.
"Grandmother... I see." She was lying, she had to be, her age seemed so far from being "old" that the aspects of even thinking about him made him more tense. He was right about her, she was only someone that wished to cause trouble, and for that he wouldn't tolerate being led around. "Then I bid you farewell, I hope you find your grand daughter." With nothing to say, he turned his body halfway, before watching her from the corner of his eye, showing a stoic expression.
He wasn't here for games, nor was he here to get any sort of laughs, the facts were he was there to help people not atrocious jesters who didn't understand the importance of justice and seriousness. "Maybe when you figure out the truth you can come back and find me, until then stay out of my way." He held his fists two his sides as he closed his eyes, walking away slowly setting a course to move back to his ship. [/justify]

Anne had loved traveling. Or rather, exploring, as a child. She'd always find herself in some forest, swimming in some stream, or on an 'expedition' through some cave. It was an in born thing, her family figured, why their daughter/sister had the incredibly need to poke her nose into things. So when Anne had been told by the Marines that she was going to be traveling across the seas she was positively thrilled.
...then they dumped a pile of paper work into her lap.
She was on one of many errands that had been making her run these days. A chore boy knew no rest, they'd tell her. And they were right. Anne hadn't been getting much sleep lately. Or at least that's what she'd be telling people, while in reality she would at times sneak off to get a quick nap in. It was terrible, Anne knew but it had to be done. She couldn't let a lack of sleep get in the way of her work. It was very important stuff she was doing!
Like delivering a few letters to someone. She'd been looking for him for the past few hours, surfing the crowds in hopes of finding said individual. Of course, being her, the young lady had gotten distracted with the new sights and was too busy staring at everything else to watch where she was going.
Bumping into a surprisingly fit man, Anne blinked in surprise before suddenly devolving into panic. "Wah! I-I'm sorry, sir!"She said, finding her body suddenly pulling itself into a click-heeled salute. It'd been drilled into her so long that Anne sometimes did it when surprised, muscle memory going to work.

Anne pouted. It was common for them not to believe her, she did look amazing for her age, but to get up and walk away? No fun. No fun at all. Hmph. Figures mister stick up the rear would excuse himself and try to make an escape instead of standing their slap-jawed. But Anne was never a woman to give up - except out of boredom - and walked after the young man. Anne was sure she could milk this a bit more. The red head had all day, after all.
And then someone bumped into him. A tussle of familiar red hair and a clicked salute...And Anne couldn't help but smile. It was a very cat like smile, as if expressing her thoughts of how her 'prey' had found himself trapped. For this, this was just perfect.
Walking up and poking her head out from behind the young man, hands drawn up behind her back and fingers laced, Anne the senior smiled at Anne the junior. "My, my, Mr. Marine. I thought Marines were supposed to help civilians in need~? How terrible of you to suddenly walk off and nearly run someone over~."

"..." As he felt her beginning to move after him, step by step. He'd stopped as his eyes gazed straight back to her in a glare. "I am not kidding, go away! I don't have time for this childishness." He took his time to make sure she'd gotten the point, and if she didn't she'd start to dash away in an effort to keep her away from himself. He didn't need her mindless dribble and mind games, he was supposed to be training right now anyway.
As he stopped taking his eyes to her and turned his body, he smashed into another person, however he easily kept his foundation, his body stiff and strong. His eyes went down to the one the old woman was looking for. And with a gesture towards the woman, without even saying apologetic words he took his foot back and then towards the woman he watched.
"Be quiet... she is the one you are looking for, and now you have her. Now please can you go away or talk to her." He pressed his hand towards his head. "This woman who claims to be your grandmother is looking for you, please do your best to command-ere her or tell her to stop playing games with marines. It's not a necessarily safe thing to do." As he etched forward pressing his foot into the ground and taking a single step forward, he'd began to move away once more.
